Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Detroit - Dearborn, an IHG Hotel

As soon as I arrived late at night, I thought I was going to have difficulty in checking in so late at night (early morning). Ali, the staff member who was available helped me in checking in smoothly and offered to give me a room at the top floor sighting that I had kids and it was the quitest area. The room was clean, spacious and my family loved it. It even had a microwave to heat food. The bathroom has clean towels and the personal care items like shower gel, shampoo, lotion by the Dove brand which was eye-raising. When I wanted to check-out, I felt it would take me time as I have kids to get ready and Omar at the reception was helpful in extending my check-out time by an hour with no hesitation. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The breakfast is not so fancy but has everything you need for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, muffin, cupcake, cereal, milk, cheese, jam, juice. It had other items like sausages but I did not really look into them due to my dietary restrictions. The location is quite and is close to the city center. It also is right beside the highway so it helps in quick connectivity.

The hotel exceeded expectations in every way possible. Check-in, the staff, breakfast, cleanliness, literally everything was done professionally, and created a stress free and wonderful experience. I want to give a special thank you to the wonderful gentleman working at the front desk Saturday afternoon/evening. The customer in front of me in check-in was being extremely rude, loud, and difficult, and he handled the situation in the most professional and polite way possible. The way this hotel is run should be the standard.

Clean! Comfy bed, good pillows. Tall shower (I'm 5'11" and it was WELL over my head), hot water, good water pressure. I liked the caddy with the full-size shampoo/conditioners and the towels were soft. Good lighting in the bathroom too. I liked the hooks on the walls to hang my jacket on, and the chaise in the room was nice. Lots of accessible outlets. Good breakfast, lots of parking. Easy to find. Staff was SUPER nice. Hallways were very clean, quiet hours well-enforced. Cute patio off of the lobby. We were not there long enough to use the pool or the gym.

Facility and room was clean, staff was friendly. We only stayed one night, so I can’t speak on much else.
